WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our church is committed to the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture. Our doctrinal convictions are adopted from the Confessional Statement of The Gospel Coalition and the theological distinctives of Harbor Network. Together, these statements provide a gospel-centered, biblically grounded framework for our teaching, leadership, discipleship, and mission.
OUR CORE BELIEFS
God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Lord over all things.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word. It is sufficient for faith and life and reveals God's plan of salvation.
Humanity
We believe God created men and women in His image for His glory. Men and women are equal in value and dignity while possessing complementary roles in God's design.
Sin
We believe all people have sinned and are separated from God. Apart from God's grace, humanity stands under His just judgment.
God's Saving Plan
We believe God, in His grace, has purposed from eternity to save a people for Himself through Jesus Christ.
The Gospel
We believe the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again, providing the only way of salvation.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died in our place, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and reigns as Lord.
Salvation
We believe sinners are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Salvation is God's gift and not the result of human effort.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit brings new life, empowers believers, produces spiritual growth, and equips God's people for ministry.
The Kingdom of God
We believe God's kingdom is present through Christ's reign and will be fully realized when He returns. Believers are called to live as citizens of His kingdom now.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers and expressed through local congregations devoted to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission.
Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe baptism and the Lord's Supper were given by Jesus Christ as ordinances for His Church and as visible expressions of the gospel.
Christ's Return
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return. He will judge the living and the dead, raise the dead bodily, and establish the new heaven and new earth forever.
Theological Distinctives
Reformed in Theology
We joyfully affirm the truths recovered during the Protestant Reformation: Scripture alone is our final authority, salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and all of life is lived for the glory of God. We trust in God's sovereignty and are committed to proclaiming the gospel to all people.
Believer's Baptism
We practice baptism by immersion for those who have personally repented of sin and placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Church Leadership
We believe the local church is to be led by a plurality of qualified male elders who shepherd and oversee the congregation alongside male & female deacons who serve and support the ministry of the church.
